The FMMA released a Manifesto

"The Mediterranean Forum of Military Associations (FMMA), a EUROMIL regional organization, presented last December a common Manifesto to denounce the critical situation of the professional, social and working conditions of thousands of soldiers belonging to the Armed Forces of Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus. This situation is a consequence of the current financial and economic crisis that inflicts severe cuts and restrictions on salaries, promotions, allowances and rights of military personnel and their families.

Goodbye Martin!

At the end of this year, Martin Michels, 72, steps down from his position as treasurer of the German armed forces’ association (DBwV). The retired pioneer Captain was always a strong supporter of EUROMIL and served the organisation for a long time as an auditor. As a convinced “European” from the very beginning, he backed in 1994/95 the purchase of the Av. Général de Gaulle 33 and the employment of Rear Admiral U. Hundt as Secretary General of EUROMIL.
