EUROMIL was informed that disciplinary proceedings pursuant to Articles 65 and 66 of the military discipline regulations were initiated against Vincenzo Bonaccorso, Chairman of Pastrengo (Associazione Carabinieri in Servizio Pastrengo). Vincenzo Bonaccorso has been charged with infringement of Article 8 and 12(2) of the military discipline regulations (law 382/11.7.1978) as result of participating in two conferences in Brussels (November 2009) and Berlin (March 2010) organised by EUROMIL as well as representing Pastrengo at a conference organised by the association and the Security and Defence Workers’ Party (PSD) in Palermo (May 2010).
EUROMIL strongly regrets, disapproves and condemns the proceedings against the chairman of Pastrengo. Therefore, EUROMIL has prepared a statement in support of Pastrengo and Vincenzo Bonaccorso, expressing its full support, solidarity and sympathy with Pastrengo and Vincenzo Bonaccorso.
