For the second time EUROMIL and its member unions and associations added the voice of military personnel to the Euro-demonstration "No to Austerity - For Social Europe, for Fair Pay and for Jobs". On Saturday, 9 April 2011, EUROMIL joined the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and its six Hungarian member organisations, ASzSz, LIGA, MOSz, MszOSz, SZEF and ESZT in Budapest. The last time EUROMIL held up its flag for European workers in September 2010 at the Euro-demonstration in Brussels. |

The Berlin Security Conference is the biggest event dealing with European Security and Defence in Germany. |

EUROMIL held its 102nd Presidium Meeting on 29-30 October 2010 at the European Trade Union HouseEUROMIL President Emmanuel Jacob opened the 102nd Presidium Meeting with a speech acknowledging that “in an age of austerity, it is not realistic to simply demand the best of everything, and lots of it, without considering the financial implications […] It is, however, the task of representatives of soldiers to ensure that the standard is set as high as possible, and that soldiers will never be called upon to perform operations for which, they are neither equipped nor trained”. |
EUROMIL meets with Spanish Parliamentarians

In a meeting with members of the Spanish parliament on 4 October 2010 in Madrid, the case for the right of association was introduced. The meeting was inaugurated by the President of EUROMIL, Emmanuel Jacob, who spoke about the social and professional conditions for European soldiers, before handing over to the Presidetn of the United Association of Spanish Military Personnel (AUME), Jorge Bravo Álvarez. He commented more exhaustively on the current national situation. In the subsequent question-and-answer session, several parliamentarians took to the floor, and a lively debate ensured. |
